How are your frames different from competition?
Elite Frames is one of the few companies who is willing to work directly with you to design your perfect frame. Because we are not a diploma frame assembly line type of establishment, the quality of our frames simply are better than anyone elses that we have seen so far. We double mat all of our frames and our medallions are not just options, they are standard on all of our school specific frames. Our signature highly detailed, typically 3-demensional medallions are plated in various metal finishes including our signature 24kt. gold plating. Although there are others who are incorporating medallions into their frames, most are pretty basic in appearance. For our select university accounts, our nameplates and our unique mat board designs sets us aprt from all others. Our ability to offer over 300 lithograph prints of prominent University images is also a distinguishing factor. There are some unscrupulous document frame manufacturers who in the name of saving money do not use conservation materials, i.e. acid free mat board for their frames. Elite Frames believes in making sure that you can confidently display your valuable documents for decades to come and not have to worry about the materials used to display your document will cause harm to it. |
What features are included in a standard frame?
Double archival mat and backboard. Frame and matting color of your choice, standard glass (with option to upgrade to conservation grade glass), and the necessary hanging hardware, and backing board dust cover applied to your frame. For some select schools - Medallions and nameplates are available (these items are optional). |

Which size diploma frame do most customers prefer?
Our single diploma frame is most popular. Actual frame size is a function of the diploma size itself, which is determined by the school or organization. However, optional choices such as tassel holder opening, double opening, addition of lithographs (select schools), or additional openings for graduation announcements is available. |
What type of wood are the frames made out of?
Most of our frames are made from Ramon (hardwood) wood - a fast growing tropical species. This wood is often used in the picture framing industry because of its strait grain, lack of knots or other imperfections, typically has impressive graining, mills very well and takes stain nicely. The natural color of the wood has a mild blond appearance. Once the stain, (i.e. our Cherry or Amber colored stain) is added with the oil-based lacquer or matt finish stain, the elegance of the wood really shines through. All wood used in production of our frames are farm grown - not from the rain forest. We pride ourselves in helping preserve our rain forests. |
Which are your best selling frame moulding style?
Style choice is an individual choice, go with what you like best. Historically, our Elite Cherry and Traditional Mahogany and Elite Ebony frame choices are the most popular. |

Our archival matting is both 100% acid (PH neutral) and lignin free - assuring your achievement lasts a lifetime. The matting is also highly fade resistant to withstand ultraviolet light. |
